Our Team
Dr. Serge Aka
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Serge is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of ESG Africa International, where he leads efforts to advance business sustainability principles across African markets. Known for his dynamic leadership, Serge combines a transformational approach with a collaborative mindset, making him a key driver of business innovation and sustainability.
With over 20 years of experience in FMCG and consulting, Serge has worked with leading global firms like The Coca-Cola Company, where he spent 11 years in various strategic roles, and Danone, where he contributed to key business functions across multiple African markets. His expertise spans business planning, strategic alliances, performance management, and large-scale business transformation projects, such as organization restructuring, supply chain optimization, and commercial route-to-market redesigns.
As a seasoned management consultant and advisor, Serge has successfully partnered with firms like KPMG, driving projects focused on market expansion, financial diagnostics, and process efficiency. In addition to his corporate work, he is passionate about education and currently teaches business in Ontario, sharing his expertise in finance, tax, marketing, and corporate social responsibility.
Serge is committed to continuous learning, holding a Doctor of Business Administration from Walden University and pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy-Economic Policy at Liberty University. He also holds multiple master's degrees in business administration, leadership, finance, sustainability, SME-SMI management, taxation and business law, reflecting his belief that evolving business challenges require agile and forward-thinking solutions.


Ghislain Wilfried Eppromo
Associate Partner - Strategic Finance
Ghislain is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years of expertise across leading multinational FMCG firms such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Danone, and KPMG. He has held pivotal roles including CFO, Senior Auditor, and Management Controller, with a focus on strategic planning, financial analysis, and operational control. His global career spans the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Africa, where he has driven profitable growth, optimized cash flow, and championed sustainable business practices. Ghislain is highly regarded for his leadership in managing business transformations, developing diverse teams, and implementing effective growth strategies.
Patrice Tene
Associate Partner - Digital Transformation FMCG
With over 15 years of experience in Information Technology and Business Transformation, including 14 years at Coca-Cola, where he rose to the position of Business Transformation & Technology Director for West African countries, Patrice is a dynamic and innovative catalyst for change. He is passionate about leveraging exponential technologies to deliver sustainable value and excels in co-creating, inspiring, and leading the implementation of new digital operating models to drive business growth.
As a forward-thinking leader, Patrice has successfully led transformational programs in Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Experience, Employee Experience, and Process Transformation across diverse, multicultural environments.
Patrice holds multiple certifications, including Certified Project Manager, Certified IT Auditor, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, and Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT. He also holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science, along with certificates in Digital Transformation and Digital Marketing from Columbia Business School.


Marcellin Ngouandi Aka
Associate Partner - Fintec
Marcellin is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the banking and interbank sectors, specializing in electronic payments and digital financial services. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at GIM-UEMOA, he plays a pivotal role in managing electronic payment operations and advancing digital financial services across the ECOWAS region.
Since joining GIM-UEMOA in 2011, Marcellin has held several leadership positions, including Deputy Director of Studies and Operations and Regional Market Manager for Electronic Payments. He is recognized for his expertise in authorization, clearing, reconciliation, and settlement within the payment services industry.
Previously, he was the IT Manager for Electronic Payments at the Banque pour le Financement de l'Agriculture in Côte d'Ivoire, where he managed the bank’s electronic infrastructure. Marcellin is also a sought-after consultant and trainer in digital financial services and electronic payments, sharing his deep knowledge with industry stakeholders.
He holds an MBA in B2B Marketing and Business Engineering from the Groupe Institut Africain de Management (IAM), and an Engineering degree in Computer Science from the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB).
